This was generating a huge response, which seems to indicate that it was an important topic.

Why isn't the reasoning for deletions made clear so that we know the ground rules better and can try and persuade the moderators when they seem to error?

There've been quite a few personal barbs thrown in that thread, but I think if you look through it, you'll find that almost every barb thrown by a male is in response to a similar comment made by a woman. I cannot count on one hand how many times some female poster entered the thread and, apparently without reading the article, decided that "all you men" were "whining". I called 2 of them on it, they did not reply.

Yeah, there is a bit more treachery there than need be, but I suspect that more than a handful of the male posters have been raked over the coals in divorce court. I've seen it happen to some close friends which is why I choose to remain single. YMMV, of course.

LOL....exactly why I've always said that "I LOVE this man. If we both weren't already married, I'd propose!"

He has a lot of qualities I find attractive in my own husband. I would like to add that STRENGTH, honesty and integrity are qualities they both share. IMO those qualities are very important.

However, I doubt the president has ever had to pound someone when doubling as security as well as being the ambulance driver at a concert, or had to pound someone in his capacity as bouncer, but the way GW conducted the pounding of the Taliban makes it seem they have THAT trait in common as well.
