That's fascinating parsi. I particularly liked this quote:
"What vested interest do we Democrats have in a program that doesn't work?"
How many decades have we watched lib/dems continue to bang the drum for perpetual funding of programs that don't work? Furthermore, his Head Start example is such a bad one since this President just approved funding for that program. So why does the lib/dem writer continue to condemn the president for being a "right-wing racist neanderthal" who doesn't care about underprivileged kids? Does he simply not listen to the news or does he just hate W. so much that he refuses to believe it?

"What vested interest do we Democrats have in a program that doesn't work? None."
But that is precisely the problem. The Democratic Party is captive to constituencies that do have vested interests interests in programs that do NOT work.
A failing public still provides jobs and benefits to the teachers and bureaucrats that work in it. Good middle-class and upper-middle class jobs that people will fight in the political arena to keep.

I do not think many Dem's read the news. That is why the liberal media is taking such a hit from FOX. That is why talkradio is so right wing. Liberals just don't do their homework. If they did, they wouldn't be liberals. parsy.

Parsy, I suppose you're right. Reading and acknowledging the truth are probably two very difficult things for lib/dems.

I love Ann Coulter's book. She is so right on it! Early in the book she writes "Indeed, an attck on America by fanatical Muslims had finally provided the liberals with a religion they could respect. Heretofore liberals deemed voluntary school prayers at high school football games a direct assault on the Constitution. But it was of urgent importance that Islamic terrorists being held in Guantanamo be free to practice their religion......."
It is true how rediculous these liberal democrats are with their hatred of religion, America and all things patriotic.
If you have not read her book, do it! It is worth the time required to read it.
To: wingnuts'nbolts
I read the book and thought it very good. I am surprised that more Dem's don't read it just for the humor and sarcasm, if nothing else. I just wish I knew if that liberal poster got banned or not. This would make a heck of a good post. You know, "How a Democratic Website Celebrates the Fourth" type of thing. parsy.

What makes it weirder for me, are those who use the throw up pacman will always tell you how educated they are and that is why they have their beliefs. It is gross. HOw does one take them seriously in there views when they have these cartoons doing disgusting things?! You'll be happy to know that there is an Ignore User program available here at FR. It was developed for just such situations as you describe. Try it....I think you'll see it solves your problem.
I hope this helps.

I should have known better...LOL
To: parsifal
The book is not NO. 1 on the best seller list, so maybe a lot of Dems are reading it. They really should. There could be a lot of converts out there who have the AH HA!
experience when all the words are in the right order. She certainly brings the liberal self lie altogether and RATIONALY and with FACTS lays it out so that it cannot be refuted.
To: wingnuts'nbolts
Correction: the third word NOT is supposed to be NOW. So Sorry!
