Those kids notes were good...I especially liked the one of the parent writing to the school explaining that her son could not attend school as he had an 'acre' in his side, rather than the correct, 'ache' in his side...that one just made me laugh...

It also reminded me of my Aunt Pearl, who know, the one who gave old Uncle Oscar the incorrect address of my dad, and Oscar wound up in the police station...

Well, Aunt Pearl, always wrote long rambling letters to my mom...pages and pages of nothing but the most mundane, and trivial things...anyway this one time she was talking about a neighborhood man, who lived across the street, and his medical problems....

Now I guess this man had a 'fistular' cyst up his rectum...but Aunt Pearl often got words mixed up, or just said things funny...anyone instead of saying that the man had a fistular cyst up his rectum, she said he had a fist up his rectum...I remember watching my dad as he read that letter, and burst out laughing...

When Aunt Pearl said that the man had a fist up his rectum, my dads comment was, "Gads, that must have been some fight"..

Anyway, that kid with the 'acre' in his side, made me think to myself, "Gads, that kid has one big side to fit a whole acre in it"...
