< blush > Thanks, guys! I am glad you like it. It's hard to take a bad picture there. If anyone has never been out to see Mt. Rushmore, I highly recommend going. They remodeled the whole complex recently (I think about 5 years ago) and you seem to be able to get closer to the monument then in the past.

At night time they do have a presentation about the 4 presidents and at the end everyone sings the Star Spangled Banner while the monument is slowly lit. After that the ranger invites any veterns in the audience to come down to the stage to retire the colors. It's a very moving ceremony. It's a beautiful part of the country, too, with so much history. I bet the homeschoolers out there would get so much out of a trip to the Black Hills.

We were going to go out to Wyoming this year, but decided to do the family reunion in FL instead. Next year we'll go and Mt. Rushmore is on our list of MUST SEE places!
