So Mountaineer, when are you fixing a real chocolate pie and having us all over? Time to coordinate those schedules. It doesn't have to be some fancy french number, just regular ol' chocolate pie.

Thanks to Pubmom. Your children's art arrived yesterday and it's just fantastic. I will put them in a box going out on Monday.

I am still putting out the call for more children's pictures from everyone. It really makes a difference to have the personal touch along with our little gift packs.

AggieMama The Bare Escensuals Special Value sold out quickly today, but it's available on waitlist. BigWaveBetty and I watched the show and noon and gave our credit cards a little work out. I highly recommend the Bisque with the brush. It's a fantastic eyeshadow and concealer. QVC does offer really good values on BE, and much less expensive than at the boutiques.

Oh duh, I forgot to say why I have been gone for the past couple days. Aside from working my tushy off, I have been sailing with a new friend, having very nice dinners, and more sailing. We saw the Detroit-Windsor fireworks on the Detroit River. They are the biggest in North America, all from his cockpit. They were amazing.

Tonight we are going out on the boat to watch the fireworks of several cities around my lake. It's really fun to watch about 10 towns do all their fireworks from the middle of the lake.

Ha! I saw it this morning before I walked out the door. When I got back, I tried to order it online and the stuff had already sold out. I think BWB said that they are doing eyes tonight. I've been thinking about trying something different.

I always wear the same colors (those neutral browns and creams and such) but my eyes are hazel, so I thought about trying something to bring out the green. Any suggestions? I wear the Fair foundation.

I think you misunderstood me, that or I can't remember what I said :-), I needed some eye shadow. I think they'll show all the products at 9.

Here are their colors:

I think the "leaf" color would look pretty with hazel eyes. But HLL is the expert!

Oh thanks so very much for the tube sched since my cable is out. I am dealing with my remorse by watching a stash of Cary Grant flicks on video. Tonight is "An Affair to Remember" and I hope I have enough Kleenex to get me through it. Just finished "To Catch A Thief." Have a cat asleep in my lap and all I need now is a slice of Mountaineer's chocolate pie to make the afternoon complete. Get crackin' on that, will ya?

It's hotter than holy h*ll here and humid, too. Iowa Granny must have mailed this weather over the state line to us. High Gran. Hope your corn's growing tall - ours is already knee high.

Well, there's the farm report. Is someone gonna watch the Martha Stewart thing on E!? I'll have to catch that another time. Wonder if they show a pic of her and her good buddy, Sam Waksal. Wonder if she and Sam are still good buddies. Wonder if Martha's invited Sam over for bar-b-que and Sam doesn't know it but he's the main course. Secret's in the sauce!

"I am still putting out the call for more children's pictures from everyone."

As bad as my drawing is, I could probably whip up a few pics and send them over and no one would know they weren't done by a five year old. I don't think I have any crayons, tho.

You are right, that Once Upon A Time In America is NOT a G rated movie ;-)It sure makes a difference which version is on, as most times the movie channels go with the edited one ; its just shorter and less ponderous, but leaves out lots of details.

And the very risque scene of de Niro and Tuesday Weld "arguing" while a company is being robbed is not for the under 14 crowd ;-)Enjoy!!

I'm rolling the dough as we speak. (Not to be confused with rolling in dough which, as far as I can tell, just ain't going to happen).

Good Saturday afternoon all.

We just got back from taking the grandkids to Washington DC. We took them to the museum of Natural history and the Areospace and plane museum.

I think it was a hit. When they got home, they began to "Mine" for gold in out back yard, LOL. They swear we have gold out in them hills. HA! We saw, dinorsars, gems, dimonds and the "Hope" dimond, and bugs. Yes, bugs. Orkin has a display going on and they actually have bugs you could hold. Naturually, grandson #2 had to touch the bugs, YUKKKK!

Saw the space capsules and The Wright Brothers plane. The "Spirit of Saint Louie" and all kinds of military planes.

No real news on the grandson. MiniT spent most of the day putting posters at the local mall and looking for work.

Thank you all for your prayers. I ask that we continue to pray. Monday is their first court appearence for the divorce. Let's hope and pray cooler heads will prevail and the father shows up with the baby and he hands him over.

Betty, that "poster" we talked about? It says, "No current freeper by that name." I think the Admin Grim Reaper got him.

The Air & Space museum was always my favorite of the D.C. sites, and I'd heartily recommend it to all. Glad you all had a jampacked day of fun.

You know, you can not see everything in one trip. We did drive by the White House and the Memorials. Also the Pentegon. The kids were really interested in seeing how the Pentegon was doing.

There were having some ethnic festival on the Mall. I don't know? I just don't think it's the right time for that. We should be uniting this county. Oh well. Not going to the Mall this year for the 4th of July. We usually take the train there. Not this is year. Maybe next year.

Oh I'm so sorry! I forgot. But I wish I had your stash of Cary Grant movies. Love Cary Grant movies!

I just turned on Martha, nothing new. She's a witch, she's driven, she'd sell her mother to be on TV. Haven't seen any Sam yet.
