Woohoo, they've opened amazon.ca in Canaduh. I think I'll go right over and spend some money I don't have. Here you can see Der F'heather (Heather Reisman, owner of Indigo, formerly Chapters, up here) whining about it, and Montreal's Nicholas Hoare not whining about it. If you ever get to Montreal, check out the Nicholas Hoare bookstore on Greene Avenue in Westmount (not far from downtown), it's a beautiful place.

The School Board president is fulminating over this travesty in a live press conference right now.

They believe saying the Pledge is a very important part of their education.............

We say it at the beginning of everyone of our Board meetings and will continue to do so.

I agree, Nicholas Hoare is the best, there is one on Front St in downtown Tranna by the O'Keefe...oops, Hummingbird Centre...excellent bookstore and nice atmosphere too. And, if you want some colour, you can mosey across the street to the parkette where the bums congregate, or walk down the streeet to the St Lawrence Market and get some fresh killed rabbit for that braised stew for din din ;-)

Good grief teach, look at this book title I found at the brand spanking new Amazon.ca:

Tradition & Innovation: Toni Morrison and the Flight Motif in Fro-American Literature

Fro-American? FRO-BLOODY-AMERICAN?? Good grief. I could see it as a word in a sentence like "Don't fro out the baby with the bath water", but this is ridiculous.
