We played a good game. We lost. But considering the circumstances, we did much better against the Germans than the last time we played them. And we will be back in 2006. And one day we'll be good enough to win the World Cup. It was just not in the cards this year. USA, go home with pride and get ready for next time. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Oh man, that's right, these things only happen every three years. Well, more time to practice. In the meantime maybe we can get Tanya Harding to do her pipe trick on the German goalie (kidding of course!).

Bummer we lost but is sounds like we put on a very respectablbe performance. In fact, it sounds in a way like we definitely could have won this game.
