The Americans payed Worl-class soccer!!!!! They lost because Oliver Kahn was extremly good, I can't say that about the German team. The American team was better!!!!!!

Caught the last 10 minutes at a cybercafe on 49th st.
That US header near the end got everyone out of their seats!

Coffee and domuts? Are you waiting for the cops to get ready too?
To: Dales
My money is on Brazil ;-)

Fun to watch! And not one guy with gangster tatoos anywhere.

I am not fond of the south american teams, dunno why. I am rooting for Germany..

German Brazil final a good possibility...Spain could also appear.....Senegal, South Korea would be surprises although home teams have done well in these cups so South Korea might be there.

An offensive player recieves the ball and is beyond the last defensive player. He cannot get the ball behind the last defensive player guarding his goal.

We did okay against the Germans, but I'd like to see how they do playing REAL football against the best players the USA has to offer...

Germany - Brazil match would be a good one to watch. I would love for Germany to win. I rarely support the German soccer team, this would be one of those times.

LOL, I feel like going out and smashing some Volkswagens. ;) But seriously, I think the US put the world on notice. And out of this, we have inspired a new generation of youngsters who will eventually take the US to the top.

To get to the top one of the ways would be to fix MLS. Changing the names of the teams would be a good start.

The Boston Revolution is a cool name. Patriotic.
To: Incorrigible
Exactly. The otherone was Chicago Fire. Can't they find better names?

MLS teams are now basically farm clubs for the more well known European teams. Young players will get there start, but they will eventually move on. I don't think there is much the MLS will be able to do about that. It's the same for a bunch of smaller countries. The best players ultimately end up playing for teams in England, Germany, Italy or Spain.

First time I am hearing that name. Fianlly one good MLS team name.

I was never a fan of the name "Crew". Isnt Columbus known for something other than construction? Like Explorers or Silverbacks? But the Crew? UGH.
To: dfwgator
True, a couple of more good show by the USA team will definitely make some changes in the popularity of the game and you never know MLS might become BIG.

Congratulations to the efforts of our team. These men have done an incredible job. I hope this is the beginning of something wonderful for soccer. However, my hubby lasted 1 minute watching this game. He's still an American Football fan. If there's not at least 4 commercial breaks and someone scoring every 5 seconds, he doesn't see the point. LOL!
