Update on Mom.
We now have been told that my Mom has three to six months to live, and that nothing can be done other than to keep her comfortable. Fortunately she has insurance that allows her to stay in her home with a full time, 24/7 caregiver, and won't be forced to move into a rest home.
Her attitude is amazing; she is stoic and matter-of-fact about her future, a fact which is a great help to me in keeping my emotions in check. What a wonderful human being.
Many thanks to all of you Freepers; and there's no reason to stop praying yet. Maybe a miracle will occur and she could experience a remission. Or at least we can pray for her to be comfortable to the end. Thank you all.

Continuing in prayer for her and you and family as well

I find it hard to think about your situation. I lost my Mom some time ago. She suffered greatly but was the bravest person her medical people had ever seen. I loved her as much as one can love. I would say to you that she is still with me. I talk to her (no, I do not hear voices) and draw strength from those mother/daughter conversations. May God be with you as he was with me, and with her. My prayers will be for you and your loved ones in this difficult time.
