I couldn't agree more. We have to start at the local level. Only then will we start having real conservative reform. It has to work it's way into the system. Having one president or 51 senators who are conservative will not promote a true conservative agenda. They will try, but will end up compromising, as many here believe GWB is. And like many here, I'm disappointed with some of the things he has done, but considering the senate and congress, it's a hard fight. Now, imagine a solid conservative controled senate and house with a moderate president. That president wouldn't be able to pass a moderate/liberal agenda, the senate and house would never pass it. It's the opposite situation right now. We have a right to moderate president (depending on your personal viewpoint) with a liberal senate and house. How is he ever going to get any true conservative issues passed facing those odds? It just isn't going to happen, not the way we would really like. Like I stated before, we have a lot of work to do. Especially educating people.

Think over time we will see a lot of change but we need to educate both coasts. I have it a lot better here in OK with my State Rep, need a new State Senator though! My Rep is J.C. Watts and my two Senators are Nickls and Inhofe. With the exception of my State Senator who is a DemocRAT, all the rest have excellent conservative voting records.
