An Open letter to Jim Robinson: Can the Bush-Bashers
none ^ | today | me

Posted on 06/06/2002 9:57:11 PM PDT by Big Guy and Rusty 99

Dear Mr. Robinson,

I have been a loyal member of the Free Republic since before the 2000 election. I have been a Conservative since the early days of Clinton. When I found this site, I thought "Thank God, people who think like me." I have continued to think this until the more recent days. Now, it seems that there are threads left and right bashing our President.

Why? There are things the President has done which I don't agree with but my loyality still lies with him. I am not sure if these "Bush-Bashers" fail to see the reality that with politics comes comprimise or it is something worse. I feel there is a cancer in the Free Republic. Some are eating their own.

I feel that some of these people are members of the dreaded democratic underground disguised as disgruntled conservatives. They are only here to stir up trouble. What's worse, they are doing just that. I am not sure what I think you should do.

As a conservative, I believe in our moral code but I also realize the reality of politics. I back our President but if he were doing something unsavory (like lying under oath,) I could not support him. This is unlike the left's clintonista dogma. What President Bush is doing is not betraying the conservative cause. He is using politics to confound the left. Those who do not understand this are either leftists themself or unable to separate themselves from their zealousness.

This is your show. You choose who gets to be a member and who does not. Those who break your rules are banished from the kingdom. I am not discouraging free speech, but this is free speech in your forum. These Bush-Bashers are brining us down. When this infighting happened in 1992, Bill Clinton got elected. let's not let that happen again.

Yours,

Big Guy and Rusty 99

Oh, I see ... you'd much rather use gutter language and insults ( as you have just proven beyond a shadow of a doubt ) , than have a civil debate. And it was such fun, wasn't it, to trash away at Liberals , that you feel that you should be allowed to do that here too, no matter what the posting rules say, whenever someone doesn't agree with with you.

I suspect that I have been a Conservative far longer than you have been one; so don't attempt to tell me that I'm not one / am being hoodwinked / nor anyother bildge. I've been politically active ALL of my life. I know and understand politics. I'm in " awe " of NO poltician ; not those now living , nor dead. I've known far too many of them personally ... and I mean as family friends, or my current friends , and from many decades working in campaigns. No, I'm NOT talking about just on the local and / or state level, either.

Ufortunately, you have a fairy tale / childish idea about what politics is / should be. No wonder you are the one feeling " betrayed " !

That was the "compromise" that led Reagan to institute the "big tent" philosophy. Conservatives alone were not capable of forming a governing majority. Pre-Reagan republicans considered southern democrats and religious conservatives not of the "right" stock". Moderates had no place to go other than the Democrats and independents were evenly split.

Isn't it amazing how the Democrats fall in step and lock their minds no matter what there leaders do but the Republicans expect their leaders to always agree with whatever their opinion is and if they don't all H-ll breaks loose? That is why we have Democrats as a majority in our senate.

No that is why we have killers and thugs in elected office. Because they are the party beloved and party demands all their sins be forgiven. Hows that for being united to a party? No thanks not for me. At least the GOP will have the decency to have discourse over the wrongs. We have a Dem majority in the senate in the senate because some fools blindly supported an unstable RINO who left their party. They got what they paid for.

Just one? How about the most damaging one to grass roots conservatives that was the wet dream of liberal thugs and totalitarians for decades: CFR. Nuff said. Now tell me how Bush really didn't do that and it's just my imagination. God Almighty, you people are hopelessly pathetic. Go drink your Koolaid.

And just exactly what makes this a "wet dream"?

One thing you have to remember, just because someone disagrees with the President doesn't mean they are bashing him

Amen. Btw, I've seen Bush-bots acting quite nastily toward those that disagree with the President, but you don't see them whining and crying for the bots to be banned. Only the bots seem to have a problem with free speech.

Do you think that restricting land to farmers, indoctrinating kids in school and the pursuit of disarming the nation are all random events? There is a plan, and it comes with a "final sollution".

Wow. You have it all figured out don't you? Tell me oh sage what is the "final solution"?

Very well stated! People seem to forget without a Majority, the Republicans in the Senate do not control the Chairmanships and thus do not control the Agenda. I stated on here the other day -- if someone has an (R) behind their name, they are getting my vote!

THere was a great unity last fall looking for a purpose. It's not around now.

Yes, Mueller et al telling us to treat terror in the US like Candidate Clements in Tejas i think it was years ago told women to treat rape -- it's like rain, so just relax and lie back and enjoy it. Seemed the worst thing to do. A totally passive attitude, squandering the country's anger and unity.

The Saudi puppies, well, ever see those oceanfront mansions south of Houston?

What burns is that up here its so gauche to bring that up, as if we can win this by ignoring it.

Personally, to paraphrase Reagan and the MX slogan

Peace through Victory!!

You have the answers NOW go create it and "they" will come.

Do you have a problem with my benevolent and constructive idea?

Absolutely not. In fact I urge you to implement it. You can let us all know when it is done

Do you have a problem if Jim Robinson decides to implement into his forum? Do you think that implementing it into FreeRepublic is a good idea?

I agree with your sentiments because I believe that most of the "Bush-bashing" is disingenuous.

I believe that some of the Bush-bashing is done by Democrat operatives who post threads merely to cause mischief (and lie, of course - - that is what Democrats do). But most of the rest of the "Bush-bashers" are just disenfranchised rats who were raised in lifelong Democrat families and who have finally awoken to see the party leaders for the liars and scumbags that they truly are.

They also look at the core Democrat constituencies (screeching feminists, environmental whackos, victim-culture minorities, gay and lesbian condom throwers, welfare parasites, etc., etc., and ask themselves, "Why do I vote with these people?" These Democrats simply cannot bring themselves to admit that they and their families have been wrong for decades and have nearly destroyed this nation. Voting Republican would be too hard for many of them.

So instead they call themselves "libertarians" and try to assuage themselves by convincing themselves and others that "the Republicans are no better", etc. Mostly, they are harmless and end up stroking each other.

Regards,
LH

Only if you want to destroy FreeRepublic. Go read your "constitution of the universe" and get your mind right. Leave the real world to people that actually live in it.

Will you all give it a rest or don't you want to recognize the truth? How many times does a person have to state and I believe I say this for the vast majority of Bush supporters -- civil discourse is welcomed -- lies, distortions, innuendoes, and personal attacks are not welcome. Now can I make that any plainer?

The final solution is a reference to geonocide. That geonocide being Christians.

So Bush is going to kill all of us Christians? Do you know what “genocide” means?
