In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Greetings and Happy Friday to All,
Damn four letter word. A Haiku and some quick doggerel today before I read any of the other comments.
Quiet rioters?
If I resort to roister, (1)
It's "Party on, Dude!"
The Dems continue to roister, (3)
Thinking the world is their oyster.
Attack is to err,
If they would take care,
Their speech would more fit a cloister.
I will be on travel all next week and will check in if I can.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Jamais reculez á tyrannie un pouce!

I watched the new episodes and didn't think they had as much flourish and outrageousness as the original ones. Edina and Patsy seemed subdued. Happens to hippies when they burn out. Case in point - Ozzie Osbourne. He reminds me of Mohammed Ali.

wow, cj, that is harsh! i heard something advertized for a summer concert with David Bowie at Nissan Pavilion. That sounded scary to me, i used to really like that little fruit back when i was in Jr. Hi, but i would be horrified to see him now.

I remember when Bowie's "Lets Dance" tour came around (back in the early 80's). We were outraged that the ticket prices went up to $9.50 each. That was the last time I saw him.

Colorado teen wins spelling bee with "prospicience".The kid was from a public school, of all places. With all the roisterousness against the NEA and the plight of public schools, there are many fine teachers and school districts still around. I think most of the failures are in the cities, where the Democrats are in charge.

Hey teach, just a reminder I won't be around until after June 17, it appears now. Just so you don't think I died. Which I may do, but there'll be no particular reason why you should believe I have.
