I was surprised that even Fox News had their newsbreak devoted to the breathtaking news thta the Levys held a memorial serivce and that (gasp) a lot of people showed up.

I'd like to know who was the idiot who recommended the Levys hire Monica's Mom's lawyer. What a disservice this did to finding the killer. If the Levys (and I don't blame them -- it surely was a horrible time for them) had hired a PI instead, he (and even amateurs) would have realized that parts of the park were not searched. Instead, many thought that the reason the parents hired a lawyer was because they knew Chandra had taken off and would need one.

Although I too commiserate the loss of the child, frankly I dont know these people and certainly dont condone the moral relativism that they taught the poor girl so she could go chase married men.

Look, I don't think the Levys taught their daughter to chase married men- at the same time, I believe Mom knew and did nothing to discourage. My opinion is not based on any hard facts, just 1 stupid thing:

Her last name was Levy.
Her first name was Chaaaaaandraaa.

If your surname is Levy and you name your kid Chandra, to paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy, you might be a 60's amoralist.

You know the parents were 60's hippy freaks who were just too damn WEAK! to tell her that her relationship with Condidit was WRONG! BECAUSE THEN THEY WOULD HAVE HAD TO FACE THAT THERE IS A WRONG AND A RIGHT! And then they would have had to admit to themselves that everything they ever believed was a lie. People will do the most irresponsible things for the sake of maintaining the facades they need........

PS: I'm lapsed, so I ain't no expert on what makes a soul rest in peace. I just hope Chandra's is right now.

I wonder how many freepers have experienced a sudden violent loss, or personally know of parents who have. I can't begin to imagine what that must be like. I agree, there should be a thread for an outpouring of sympathy and support.
