What absences? I know nothing. :) FLYING squirrels? Hum. Didn't know there was a such thing. The squirrels around here have eaten all my flower bulbs. Just munched down on them. Gross things. I really dislike them, now.

Have you learned nothing sweetie? Just as with the pansies and the snails, set out a six-pack or two of beer for the squirrels. Your bulbs will be safe and the squirrels will thank you.

Good grief. Do squirrels do that ? Do they eat flower bulbs ? That may explain it. I planted caladiums in two seperate batches this year. I tried a new supplier and wanted to see what his stock would produce ... so I got a small batch to try,. they did great and so I ordered lots more.... The second batch has been mostly dug up and they look to be chewed on. I thought it might be cats... I never thought about squirrels. I have a ton of squirrels... armies of them. LOL
