Wanna See Something Pretty Darn Freaky?

Posted on 05/27/2002 1:19:17 PM PDT by AnnaZ

Coincidence is coincidence, right?

Say you're thinking about a plate of shrimp.
Suddenly someone says plate,
or shrimp, or plate of shrimp.
Out of the blue.
No explanation.
No use looking for one either.
It's part of the lattice of coincidence
that lays on top of everything.
Tracey Walter as Miller in "Repo Man" (1984)

Or maybe not.

Coincidence is the fabric of magic.
- Margali Zsardos;
Excaliber#83 - Warren Ellis

Really?

The difference between fiction and reality?
Fiction has to make sense.
- Tom Clancy

Good. 'Cause this doesn't.

"This" is a single Federal Reserve Note, denomination of "20", folded. Both "images" created by the folding are shown as equal sides, i.e. the bill need not be remanipulated to show the reverse side, simply turned over.

Once is an accident.
Twice is a coincidence.
Three times is enemy action.

If so, that's too bad. "Cause there're more here: http://www.exedor.net/cash/

Look again. Think autumn-time horrors. And I don't mean leaves falling.

It is supposed to be an image of the World Trade Center immediately after the attacks and the other side is the Pentagon. My son's friend showed me this last week. I am not sure I would label it freaky, though.

Any lawn is a large lawn late September in the Northeastern vicinity.

It's the end of the month, and I'm low on bread. Can I do this with a quarter?

All right, all right. I'm a "looser", okay? An easily amused, mindless, bored, bandwidth-wasting "looser".

Please contact the Merck Manual people and submit this as symptomatic of a slow news day, when too many people have stopped watching the various governmental and local services offered on FOX et al and at least half the available audience has no interest in Soap Operas.

It isn't fatal or even contageous but it is cyclic and recurring.
