I was going to get a tattoo, but decided not to for fear of being called a hypocrite by the women I dated. Besides, they look gross if they are not maintained. My Uncle's Yosemite Sam has faded beyond all recognition.

How old is your uncles tattoo? While the tattoo gun has remained virtually unchanged over the past 100 years, the inks used have advanced a great degree. But they do still require "maintanence." Keep em covered with suntan lotion when they are exposed for extended periods of time. Like when playing golf, yard work, the beach, etc... Use a moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. Common sense stuff.

At age 37 last saturday I got my first tattoo, it's a Viking. It's a real cool tattoo but it's fairly conservative for a tattoo, no snakes or offensive things. Afterall it is permenant.
