Oh goodness! - What a horrible predicament! - If the DVD won't do anything, then it has no power, methinks. If you can't figure it out from the diagram that came with the DVD player, I think you need to call a talented friend or 15 year old boy to fix it for you. I had to buy an A/B switch to run my cable box and the DVD, and I have a less complex array of electronics than you do.

Dang, I was hoping you'd have a quick and painless answer.
When my husband called lastnight-(he's out all week), he reminded me that when the installer was here last week, we did see the lights on the DVD pop on, but we don't how or why, and we sure have punched a lot of buttons since then.

Guess I need to call the installer again.
