Can't wait 'til October!!Um... nothing happens in October. Are you waiting for November or December? LOL!
To: HairOfTheDog
"I had all the Hildebrandt calendars too!" Yep...that's the one!! Look at that guy, he's a hoss!! Not some ethereal being, mind you, a fleshed-out Vision of Pure Evil!! I couldn't even see the FOTR's Balrog's wings, fer heaven's sake!!
That's so cool you found that...I was sure I was referencing something entirely obscure...LOL!!

To: Mudboy Slim

"I haven't gotten my invite yet." I'll see if I can pull some strings...it's only scheduled fer the Big Four premiers, you know, Washington, DeeCee, NooYawk, ElleA, and Tumwater, Washington. Happy FReeper B-Day, BTW, one week late.
"What does it have in its pocketses is not a fair riddle!"
LOL...great profile page, my FRiend...many excellent links to Tolkien threads, I see. I could discuss JRR's writings nonstop, were it to pay the mortgage.

HEHEHE - Well, see if you can get me into that Tumwater screening, but I was willing to travel...

I can't wait!

If you have the time, post the pictures! We don't post near as many as Rintense's "Day in the Life" threads!
To: 2Jedismom
hehehehe - Is that the measure? LOL! Hey - I didn't want to slow down the thread for the dial-ups! I posted all the best ones... The others aren't particularly new to most folk I don't think, or they are just ugly orcses...
This orcs is kinda cute though:

Is she the one that ends up with Aragon in ROTK?
Or is that somebody else who was introduced in TTT before teh battle?
To: HairOfTheDog
I finally got it figured out, with my daughter's help, of course. I'm the most 'computer impaired' one in the family! But the trailer looks great in full screen!! Treebeard especially looks great!
On the drive to and from FL we listened to the unabridged version of The Two Towers on audio tape from the public library. Unfortunately, tapes 4 and 5 were broken and we missed Helm's Deep, ARRGH! But is was delightful having someone read it to us; Rob Ingliss is the narrator, and he's wonderful! I'm going to look for FoTR and RoTK on tape at the library also!
We're enjoying our FoTR DVD. We've watched it 3 times since we got it. We haven't watched it at home with our better sound set-up, so I'm looking forward to that. The one thing that doesn't seem to be as prominent is that deep rolling harmonic sound when Sauron bites the dust in the Prologue. I'll have to try it here at home to see if it's there and I just couldn't hear it before!

Is she the one that ends up with Aragon in ROTK? Yes, that is Arwen.... You haven't seen Fellowship of the Ring have you? You should!
Eowyn is the blonde in the other pictures on the thread... She is the gal from Rohan that is introduced in TTT.

Hey! The photos actually answered a question I had wondered about: I see Sam has his pots and pans with him, which means he must cook up the "Rabbit Stew" that he was so intense on having. I was hoping this would be so...having a beat of eats is so much in the Hobbit personality.
Arwen looks lovely in that photo.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
I thought the boys would like that Arwen ;~D
Yes! - Sam has got his pans... They can have the stewed coneys!
To: HairOfTheDog
You know, Hair, if you keep up with this "cute Orc" stuff, we're going to have to bring an on-line shrink in here to do an analysis...
