Same with my ex-husband, he was injured playing baseball just after bootcamp and was deemed unable to serve and received an honorable discharge from the marine corps.

Well my brother wasn't injured .. he just wanted out .. he told them he wanted a 9-5 job with weekends off .. it a long story

But if he had stayed in he would have been an officer and a higher rank then my other brother that stayed in till he retired a few years ago
