Hi gogeo. I've stayed away from the mainstream churches for most of my life. Was very active in the Anderson, Indiana based Church of God (There are so many Churches of God that I have to be specific -- it wasn't an Assembly of God type church) which has a lot of congregations in Washington. There are a couple in the Olympia-Lacey area and a big one in Centralia that I know and one in Morton. I haven't found one in Waco.
I've gone to a couple of Baptist churches here (that's what dominates Waco) but they are white - all white. There are some all black congregations, too. I am not used to that, and am very uncomfortable with it.

If that makes you uncomfortable, then you might want to try the Methodists.

:-)

I have NO trouble with black people wanting to worship with other blacks, or with whites doing so.

As a matter of fact, it seemed like your comment implied some sort of underlying racism, which I am NOT comfortable with, either.
