Hearing my kids' tell me I'm a good mom;
hearing my husband tell me he loves me, and knowing he means it;
watching my children succeed in their endeavors, and walk with the Lord;
fellowship with Christian friends;
listening to great music (especially Beethoven);
sharing my love of music with my students
singing beautiful songs;
fresh spring mornings and crisp fall afternoons;
snowfalls with gigantic lacy snowflakes, especially on Christmas Eve;
family vacations to the mountains or the ocean (either one);
looking at pictures of our wonderful President and First Lady, and knowing that morality and dignity have been restored at the White House;
resting in the peace of my Savior, Jesus Christ.
That's just for starters!
Some really good ones there! My son told me the other day that I am the "bestest mom in the whole world!" That made my day. =) It doesn't take much to make me happy. I love it when people make me laugh--and it doesn't take much to do that either. You know what really makes me sigh with contentmen??--slipping into bed at night on cleanly wash sheets. I know that sounds silly, but so often I have dirt from the kids shoes or cracker crumbs, legos and other assorted toys in the bed. It's nice to have clean sheets with the fabric-softener smell with nobody's junk on them!
