I am considering switching to stills from The Two Towers as they come in...

Have you seen the parts of The Two Towers trailer that someone linked on the Hobbit Hole? Just awesome, except it is WAY too small!! My daughter and I had seen it at the movies, but we showed it to Sir SuziQ this morning!

I downloaded a version of the preview that is good enough to watch full screen, It is an audience bootleg, but not too badly done. Quicktime format. Search up the Hobbit Hole thread for ecurbh's website... he has it there for download, or did. Search on "trailer page" perhaps...

I never thought about using the Red X for a desktop, but it is elegant in it's simplicity!

Okay, here's my attempt at a step-by-step instruction, hope this makes sense:

1. Make sure your collections are all categorized the same way. For example, mine are all in the "Custom" category. You can change that by clicking on each collection and clicking "rename" then choose a category.

2. Make sure the name of each collection begins with the number representing the order in which you wish them to cycle. For example, mine are 1 Fellowship of the Ring The Shire, 2 Fellowship of the Ring Bree, 3 Fellowship of the Ring Rivendell, and so forth.

3. Go behind the scenes in your webshots program by going into My Computer and going to C:\Program Files\Webshots\Collections\. In that folder, you will find your collection files named "category name - collection name". Copy all those collection files to a temporary directory elsewhere on your hard drive (NOT in any Webshots directory).

4. Delete the files that you just copied from the webshots program directory (i.e. delete them from C:\Program Files\Webshots\Collections).

5. Copy the collection files from your temporary directory back into your webshots program directory (C:\Program Files\Webshots\Collections\) by going into My Computer again.

When you copy the files themselves directly into the Webshots program directory, for some reason it reads them in file name order only--so it will cue to the numbers that begin the filenames.

If that doesn't make sense, freepmail me, and maybe we can chat through it or I can troubleshoot for you.

I don't what's stranger. This photo:

Or that the actor who played "Eddie" in The Courtship Of Eddie's Father has replaced Jello Biafra as lead singer of the Dead Kennedys on their current reunion tour.

Well, you know the old saying, "necessity is the mother of invention."

I was NOT going to start over again collecting all those LOTR pictures when I got a new computer...so when I copied my webshots collection files from the old hard drive to the new one, all of a sudden everything cycled in the correct order. It was like a computer miracle, lol. Then when I had to create a new collection because one of them was full, I just figured I'd test what I'd learned earlier and it worked!

Mine's the famous photo of the flag raising on Iwo Jima, which replaced the WTC flag-raising. Before that, I had a low-flying B52.

They should be calling them the Ed Kennedys...

Brandon Cruz is the singer for DR. KNOW, a punk band that has been around since the early '80s. Dr. Know plays in the old school punk tradition, and their blistering live shows prove they haven't missed a step. Brandon Cruz is also known for having played Eddie Corbett on the TV series "The Courtship of Eddie's Father."

Brandon's solo CD, called "Eddie Is a Punk," has a lot of old Eddie's Father stuff on it, like him singing a punk version of "People let me tell you about my best friend..." with composer Harry Nilsson, one with Micky Dolenz, and two takes with Bill Bixby. And there is also great hardcore with bands such as HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED, THE BRANDON CRUZ BAND and TWISTER NAKED. It's available from Taang Records.

Thanks to Brandon, the Surfrider Foundation will be receiving a $25,000 donation this fall from the TV game show "The Weakest Link." A lifetime member, he selected Surfrider to be his charity as he competed against other TV stars from the '60s, '70s and '80s. Brandon is also involved with A MINOR CONSIDERATION, an organization that helps child actors maintain their careers after they've outgrown their juvenile parts.

At work it is the Eagle with an American Flag superimposed on his eye. At home it is President Bush wearing a bomber jacket and waving in the midst of a large group of soldiers dressed in camo. It was taken at one of our bases during a speech.

My wallpaper is a collage of Aragorn pictures from LOTR, and my screensaver is a rotating collection of scenes from the Rivendell section of the movie.

Jello Biafra???
