My desktop image rotates every thirty minutes to another still from Fellowship of the Ring...

I am considering switching to stills from The Two Towers as they come in...

Before all this LOTR obsessiveness, my desktop image cycled through gorgeous pictures of horses, mostly stallions of course.

I had the WTC Flag raising, now I've got one created by NavyChief.
It's a collage of images with: an eagle with tear in eye, WTC explosions, swirling flag and an Aircraft Carrier with "Payback is a b*tch" on the front end. It's titled "United we stand"

What is on my desktop right now? A picture of my girlfriend.

Yep, that's right, it's blank.

No, actually, it's a jpg of the picture that became my tattoo on my right bicep. Frank Frazetta's Outlaw of Torn.

We need a before and after designation, lol...

Before LOTR, I cycled through lots of scenery--mountain scenes in particular...

Now I have a different kind of scenery, lol.... :o

My desktop is a painting called Polo Grounds Fantasy - an image of how the old Polo Grounds might look today, had it been restored and refurbished and the New York Mets stayed there, rather than squat in the old wreck while awaiting the completion of Shea Stadium. (The Polo Grounds came down in April 1964 - with the same baseball-painted wrecking ball, incidentally, which brought down Ebbets Field in 1960.) Someone sent it to me and I liked it so much I made it my desktop. (I saw my first Mets game ever in the old Polo Grounds in 1962, when I was six - it was the game against the Pirates in which Marvelous Marv Throneberry himself, as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the ninth, teed off against legendary relief pitcher Elroy Face and whacked a game-winning three-run homer, then, about fifteen minutes later, the Mets having repaired to the famous elevated center field clubhouse, gave the bleacher fans the curtain call they chanted for - WE WANT MARV! - and appeared on the clubhouse steps...with nothing on but his underwear and his uniform stirrups and socks!)
