Sorry, ceegee. I Had to answer the phone, then the door and then I had to reboot the computer.
Yes, you've got Landrieu pretty well figured out. Unfortunately, we just don't have a good candidate strong enough to run against her.

"anyone who ever dated an Elementary Education Major knows what is wrong with the school system"

I think what really brought that into perspective for me was a couple of years ago some news prgram had a "jaywalking" type thing in DC. The interviewer was asking questions of a history teacher who was visiting the nation's capitol on a field trip. She was asked, "what is at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?" Mind you, they were standing right in front of it. She had no idea.

"Is she as ah, 'adventurous' in her private life as her father was? People overlooked that in Moon and in Edwin Edwards, but I don't know that they would overlook it in a woman."

Overlooked it ? They practically expected it but it doesn't appear that she is in the least bit 'adventurous'.

"I top it all off by maintaining a quiet modest demeanor."

Yes Swervie, it is certainly that quality which I find stands out about you. < /sarcasm >

Oh geeze, the morning I left my Dad got up and said the route I had planned had 6 - 7 inches of snow and a lot mroe predicted.....so I had to fret a bit and mull over changing the route, but then I said, hell I have a front wheel drive vehicle, I've driven in snow close to 30 years, so I'm going for it.

Going over Gilmore pass (real high elevation) there was snow on the mountains but none on the road....wasn't til Mud Lake that there was snow on the flat....by the time I got to Idaho Falls you tell there ha beeen 6 inches or more and more was predicted.

But none on the freeway....drove over 60 miles--out of the snow path--without so much as a flake of snow falling....I I made really good time....drove all the way to Mesquite, NEVADA,(over 700 miles) the first day--couldn't have gone all the way to Vegas--but I was a little hesitant because they had such bad windstorms the night bore and predicted that day...

Made it into my daughter's place by 3:45 in the afternoon. It was h-0-t-.....today was cooler.

Tell Letitring....I did my shopping....I'm done for the rest of my life!!! Yikes, I hate that try it on, take it off, put it on, take it off, try another, don't like that color, yada yada yada!!! Smile....:)

"Have any of you watched the Jay Leno interviews of college kids?"

Funny you should mention that....I just posted something related in a post to Swervie. It is pathetic, and most of that stuff I DID know in grade school!

Hiya Rowdee... glad you made it safely. Yesterday I was remembering a trip I took to Texas from Washington. Drove from Twin Falls ID to Gallup NM in one day - through heavy road construction and snow in Salt Lake City. Drove through some beautiful scenery in Utah, but didn't dare stop to take pictures. Once I get behind the wheel I drive and drive -- I'm pacing my summer trip much differently, but I wonder if I'll stick to the schedule.

"I don't think I could ever just ignore a Lizard scampering around my house"

Most lizards are completely harmless. My ex had an iguana that was about 3 feet long and he ran loose in the house a lot if the time. Only thing I didn't like about it was the silly thing would eat my plants!

That is how we go to on a road trip. My av8tor hubby likes the kneeboard...depart and ETA...he hates side trips. Points out to me.."if we go on that road, it will take us to the little ol town of Calico!" or " If we go there, we would see Judge Roy Bean's courthouse" etc...

"I found it interesting that she was brought up in a Catholic/christian background. Boy did she convert!"

Well, the woman obviously ain't right. I mean what woman who was would have sex with that man??? That would be at least as sick and degenerate as a man having sex with Janet Reno!

I think we should hold open the posibility of breeding him to Donna Shalala if there should ever be a Gargoyle shortage.
