Maryland or the Miracles?
Maryland has been on a year-long mission to win a title. Indiana has been on a two-year mission to prove that Bob Knight's departure didn't spell the end. On Monday a pair of red-clad opposites will vie for the 64th NCAA title (Clark Kellogg analysis), and Indiana can claim its sixth against no title-game defeats. The Terrapins have never won a championship, but Maryland appears to have the matchup advantages against Indiana. But the Hoosier image and Indiana's unpredictable ascent have already made a compelling storyline.

You are correct. It is not exclusive to Maryland. It happens in L.A., Detroit, Seattle and many other cities around the U.S.A. with increasing frequency.

To: ALL;
TO ALL MARYLAND FANS: CONGRATULATIONS ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!! I agree after last years stolen game you deserved to win.
Since IU will only lose a couple of seniors and have some great "red shirts" and recruits coming in, we'll wait till next year!

Instead of one shining moment...."BURNIN' DOWN THE HOUSE"

At least MSU did not riot in 2000 after we won it all, and we are probably most known for it(after losing in 1999, and the 1998 drinking riot)....

Thanks for organizing the pool Texaggie.

Great job by ABG and Evan!

As for me, I fall back on my lifetime of Red Sox indoctrination and shout, "Wait till next year!"

Not me.

And I LOST my damn office pool. The ONE combination of results that could sink me after half of the elite eight games were over is EXACTLY what happened.

:-(
