Why doesn't she just decided to give up the charade and quit school? She is only there about 3 days a month it seems.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a sewing machine in about the $200 range? I am just starting out so I don't need all kinds of bells and whistles yet. I don't want to spend a fortune then let it gather dust in the corner, like my guitar, my soap making supplies, my water colors...well you get the idea. I am quite sporadic in my hobbies.

It's very humid down there, she needs some Frizzease Moisture Barrier hair spray.

Bill still needs a onesy!

I prefer the "unposed" photo on the right. X42 looks like he'd rather be anywhere but with 97, who appears to be correcting a wedgie, while Chelsea looks around, asking, "Where's the bar?"

I have also heard private phone conversations on my police scanner. You know you shouldn't be listening, but you just can't help yourself.

It's really hard not to listen when the conversants are having a lovers' quarrel (but then our editor yells at us and we get back to work). There's generally lots of "You hate me, don't you?" followed by heavy sighs and protracted silences.

It seems the priest is trying to see what's been stolen from him.

It's good for me when you use words like "conversants" and "protracted." Try to work in the occasional "denouement" for maximum effect. ;-)

I should have posted the bottom picture first. Looks like Bill-o is bored to tears and Hillary seems to have an itch that just had to be scratched. And Bill sure perks up in the other photo when another female touches him. And look at Hillary's eyes, that phoney bug eyed smile.

They make me sick, almost as sick as that looney tunes Carville does. He was co-hosting Crossfire last night and wore sunglasses and was spewing such garbage. It was awful. Don't know if he is on tonight and do not intend to find out either.

LOL....I went through one of those "I must learn to sew" phases many years ago. Even took an adult education class in sewing. It lasted much longer than my macrame phase, my crocheting phase, my decoupage phase, my redoing furniture phase - well you get the idea.

Anyway, I bought a very nice used machine. Found it in the want ads. I still have it but shamefully have not used it in many years. But I did make many things at one time - never got past the E-Z patterns but made some curtains and drapes.

I hope you enjoy your new hobby.

I recommend a sewing machine by Simplicity/Baby Lock/White. They are all the same machine and manufacturer just different brand names.

Make sure it's easy to thread, and that it has snap on presser feet, not the screw on type. I got my last two machines from QVC, I found that they are at least 20% cheaper than in the stores. QVC just had a sewing day so they only have two Singer models left but they should be restocked soon. HSN has a Simplicity simular to mine for $150. Also make sure that they will sew through denim.

Oh, another thing, get one that has a rounded machine body, not square with sharp corners. The rounded design keeps the fabric from getting caught.

Good evening - I'm guessing your local daily's classified ads will have several good deals for you. Folks buying all kinds of things they just have to have, and finally realizing that there's not a snowball's chance they will ever use the ______________, and it's time to get some of their money back. Best of luck with it.

OK, heres' my 2 cents worth. I think Melissa Rivers is a nice lady, but her mother is vulgar. Melissa has some dignity...(she must have got it from her father) I hope she stays that way.
I always thought Lancome had the best mascara if you don't mind paying a lot for it. My eyes have gotten too sensitive to wear eye shadow and mascara and I've had to get used to going without it. *sigh*
And finally, am I the only one that thinks the Clinton's get together in the Islands because that's where their off shore banking account is?

Thanks everyone, these are great tips! My first project is going to be cat beds. My girls love to lay on the satin lining of my winter coat and on my terry cloth/chenille bathrobe, so I am going to make one side satin and the other side terry cloth. I have had cats long enough to know that they probably will take one look at their new beds and head for my bath robe, but at least I will have made something!

Wish I was there to see the blossoms up close.

If we are sharing horse photos, I will share the one that I took while driving home from work one evening in 1985.

Thanks. From the article,

NPPA judge Brian Storm called the photograph powerful and said journalism is supposed to "shine a light on the wrongs of our world."

But why does it have to win an award?

He also expressed hope that publishing the photograph will help police identify some of the perpetrators.

Couldn't you just turn the picture over to them without releasing it? All retorical questions I'll add to my email, thanks again.

Gotta go, thunderstorm on the way.
