I do know that Pakistan seems to be, but the uncanny observation by many, that nations such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt, seemed to be turning their heads the other direction in regards to terrorism, has been a complaint for years.

Which only proves that you need to read between the lines a little harder. Egypt and Saudi Arabia, considered moderate Islamic nations, have been fighting a pitch battle with their fundementalist elements for decades. Forget what they say in public, which to a large part is designed to appease the agitated masses within their borders. The ruling elements in both these countries are far more concerned about an Iran type revolution that will sweep the moderate governing apparatchiks into prisons, than the plight of the palestinians.

Pakistan on the other hand, regardless of the current governments actions to round up the extemists, has a long history of supporting their efforts, both in terms of manpower, logistics and support. Pakistans president has no idea what their intelligence service is up to.
