I've been helping in the garden and playing my whistle all morning. My husband didn't complain, it must be that I'm getting better at it! Even my tunes that I don't know at least don't squeak and squawk any more.
I tried the recorder...didn't care for it. It is cumbersome. My sweet little whistle is much more delicate and not much bigger than a reed of grass. It's just downright cool-looking, I think.
Here is what it looks like:
I really love this whistle.

Hey, Corin, thanks for your support on the HP thread. I just posted a way-too-logical reply to some guy who thinks the HP books teach kids evil spells. 2JM, have you an opinion on the Potter stories?

My husband didn't complain, it must be that I'm getting better at it! My cat will actually sit beside me when I'm playing now...except when I try 3rd octave notes. Those notes set the neighbor's dogs barking if the windows are open (like they were Friday night.)
Here's what my whistle looks like:

It's just downright cool-looking, I think.I agree, it is kinda cool-looking. It's hard to tell the actual size from the photo, though. May I ask, what are the whistle's dimensions, length, width, etc.?
