Heh - I doubt I'll do either, but it's the stars that make me want to cry. We should be there by now, the Moon at least... Luna City, Tycho, Tombaugh Station, they should be there! But they aren't, and at this rate I'll see an Elf before I see Earth from outside.

I tend to think so too. Man will need to explore to reach his destiny.

I have a friend who is a newly converted conservative, but still has his old leftist instincts and doesn't see how we can spend money on space when we should be spending it on poverty. He hasn't figured out that the state messing with poverty has only made it much worse and threatens to make it permanent. Space exploration, though, will probably cause unimaginable benefits.
