What makes you think I am not a hobbit? hehehe

Although, I have been feeling a little more like an elf lately since I found my little Ginsu guy. He is rounder than most elves though.

Actually I think it's just one of those fairy-tale elements that show up in Hobbit. There really don't seem to be any fairies or sprites or other little things in the LotR universe. They got written out fairly early on, IIRC the proper History of Middle Earth reference. Probably hobbits just have fairy tales like we do, and it's just a story to explain the weirdness of the Tooks. Like medieval humans had "changelings", maybe.
