OK html scholars... I am preparing the Moria post... and I want to have the proper name for chapter 5 appear, so I am trying to figure out how to make the html for the symbol over the U!

I found this code "& ucirc" (no space after the &) in a search which does give me a û when used by itself. But when it is in the middle of a word it gives me this:

Chapter V – The Bridge of Khazad-D&ucircm

or this: Chapter V – The Bridge of Khazad-D<û>m if I put < > around it

or this: Chapter V – The Bridge of Khazad-D û m if I just add spaces around it....

I am out of guesses on how to format it, and I bet one or all of you guys know how to do this. Help!

The Bridge of Kazad-Dûm

you mean like that?

I just use a numerical keyboard-combination to get a û

hold down the "alt" key and type 0251.

Does that help?

Khazad-Dûm

Can you see the U thingie? I formatted it in MS Word (Insert, Symbol, then select the proper one.) Sometimes it works...

It looks like you already got this solved, but just for future reference, you have to put in a semicolon (;) to end the symbol code, thus:

Khazad-Dûm = Khazad-Dûm
