You do need more RAM... but you have to know what you're doing to install that. I've seen so many people get it in backwards, fry it, bash it, or damage it in other ways... look, is there a technogeek somewhere in your area who you could ask to fix your machine for a minimal fee?

Shoot! The hard part is selecting the right memory module...all you have to do is pop it in the slot. (Paying attention to what you're doing helps!)
