Formatting and reloading sounds like a good plan. Just make sure you've got everything backed up first!

First, I don't have a backup device for this computer.

Second, there is nothing on that computer that I need to save, that can't be reloaded.

Do I need to backup in case the reformat and reload goes kablooey?

When I go to format, do I go to the DOS prompt and type < FORMAT C: > ? Is that it? Then to reload everything do I have to reboot the computer with the Windows CD in the D: drive, and then go from there?

I hope you don't mind my bugging you with a million questions.
