Don't get me wrong, Hair. I fully support environmental balance and care for our natural treasures, but they invested a good 15+ minutes of a one hour program on this guy. They made comparisons to the Anglo-Saxons and both World Wars as well. They were good at pointing out the JRRT did not like analogies and he mentioned how JRRT had mentioned it in the prologue of LoTR.
What gets me is that I started to feel like I was in an informercial for Greenpeace instead of a behind-the-movie story. I hate the in your face agenda in what should be an overview of JRRT's work.

Just so you know... when I watched the National Geographic episode on FOTR, I thought I was watching a hard-sell infomercial about Greenpeace also.

Yeah, and he had employees carrying his stuff. I remember someone asked me if it was worth it a while back and I said no...the guy at the end is so stupid. Walking around in the deluxe hiking boots and his shirt off like we're supposed to be impressed. Gag.

Heh.... well, like I said.... I haven't seen it for a long time... just once on TV... I do remember the guy walking on some mission at the end being kindof dumb.
