Jr. and I made it to but not through Moria. We couldn't start until after 9:00 p.m. and kept getting interrupted. Several phone calls, dog had to go, etc. Plus the little one kept waking up and I realized, much to my dismay, that his nebulizer is in the back of the van, which my wife has in North Carolina.
Here's where I am today:
- I am surprised I have not yet received a call about my father-in-law. My wife is there and supposed to come home today if he lingers. They've taken away all meds except for pain and to help him rest. He's not drinking, he's not eating, he's running a fever. I just can't imagine it being much longer.
- I have several things I must get off my desk today, especially if I'm anticipating being out the rest of the week (which I am). On top of that I have to leave early to take Jr. to get the cast off of his arm.
Based on those things (and the fact that I still have to get the storm windows up), I have decided:
As much as I want to see it through, we'll have to wait for a full Stormhands viewing of the Special Edition.
Nanowrimo is being put on the shelf. I may go back to it. But I refuse to feel guilty about leaving it where it is. (It's the weekend for my characters, they can use the rest).
I'll be in and out today as time allows. But I really need to try to stay focused on the stuff on my desk.
I'm not trying to sound whiney. And we really are coping okay (I can say that 'cause I'm not there). But I need to prioritize.
I know I'm bordering on heresy when I say this, but viewing the movie and even spending time here should not be my priorities right now. Trust me, I'd prefer to be in Middle-Earth, but I just can't right now.
I'll pop in when I can today.
g'nad, you are really going to like the elves leaving Middle-Earth scene....
I know I'm really gonna like the elves leaving Middle-Earth scene... thanks fer the heads up...
Prayers continue to be with you and your family, Corin.
