Space Opera is too fun

Yes! That's why I made mine a space opera. I've even thrown in a couple of references to some classics of the genre, mostly in the form of character names.

Rose read my start, for the first time... says it needs some editing. I've drafted her to do the editing for me, since I am unable to edit my own writing!

No editing yet! It's just this galactic empire is very cool. Maybe next time I'll write about them... I really can't justify more than another day and a half in this universe, not if my story's going to work out right.
