I'm getting obsessed with this; today I've been trying to ascertain my word rate (about 70 wpm on a normal keyboard, probably more on my laptop; I used to be faster) and working out last minute details. Thursday, since I can get away with it, probably, I'm going to wear a "fantasy" outfit so I know what it feels like. My black cape (of polar fleece, so it's warm) is actually pretty useful and doesn't really get in the way.

I wonder if there is a parallel universe out there populated by beings like the characters we read about in our fantasy/sci-fi books.

Maybe their idea of escapism is to write a book about a network engineer and her quest to gain Microsoft Certification. ;^)
