ML, I'm thrilled you got the HM version of the book. I have toyed with the thought of getting the movie cover version...and would like it if they had a set that came with The Hobbit, but I don't think they do. The set that includes The Hobbit has an artist's work on the box and covers. The reason I would like the movie version is because now is the time of the movie...and 30 years from now this time will be fun to remember. I can always get a "fancy" set later... Hmmm, maybe I can ask my hubby to get the "Collector's edition" The Hobbit and the movie cover set of LOTR for Mother's Day...hmmm...
Who drew the map in that companion book?
I've been away from the thread for too long. I finished reading The Two Towers and then saw Fellowship of the Ring tonight with the TT trailer. I can't believe how much more I got out of the movie (fourth viewing) since I have read FotR and TTT, and studied Tolkien's maps. I'm the type who puts captions on when accents accompany dialog, so having the stuff in print before this last viewing really helped.
Got that FotR glow all over again!
I missed you in chat last night. I had a heck of a time trying to find out what the final cooking temperature of rabbit should be. What temp is "until tender"?
You do have a VHS machine, right?
