I never noticed this until I took this still, so I thought I'd share. Did you'all know Gandalf had tears in his eyes when he had to refuse Frodo when he was begging him to take the ring? :: snif::
Oopsie, sorry if that's too big....I still had my screen resolution set really high, so everything looks smaller than it used to, lol

Gandalf (Ian) has the most EXPRESSIVE eyes....there are a couple of times in the movie when his shifts his gaze ever so slightly and completely changes the mood of the scene...one time is after he pulls the ring out of the fire and hands it to Frodo...he asks him if there are any markings on it........at first Frodo says no. Gandalf looks confused and a bit discouraged.............then when Frodo says "Wait!!!", Gandalf darts his eyes and his whole expression becomes one of intense anticipation.........one of my (many) favorite moments in the film.

No I hadn't, but I do find it a very dramatic moment, part of Jackson's masterful highlighting of the evil threat the Ring poses. Gandalf, afraid of nothing, jolts back as if Frodo is holding out a venomous snake.
