See! I used to be able to brag just like you! - Real subtle-like with small letters!
What do you mean by no dental work - You didn't have to have your wisdom teeth out for the military? - My brother did... His wisdom teeth werent' causing any trouble at all - been there for years, but they pulled them... Didn't want a guy to be on a ship in the middle of the ocean who might have a dental crisis. Using that logic I am surprised they don't pull them all!

Maybe it's a Navy thing? I was in the AF and never had to have my wisdom teeth out. But then, we're rarely far from the nearest dental clinic and in my job (computer support, basically) I never went on any extended remote TDYs.

You didn't have to have your wisdom teeth out for the military? You know, I had forgotten all about that...I guess I blocked that nightmare effectively...thanks for reminding me Hair...grumble grumble...
...trust me..you don't want a Navy dentist anywhere near your mouth...I've had neither fillings, braces, crowns...
BTW, I wasn't bragging...I used small font to try and avoid sounding like I was...didn't work I guess...

I have found the best way to staunch the bleeding from extracted teeth...a tea bag! Make a cup of tea, give the tea to somebody and take the warm tea bag and place it firmly on the bleeding area. The warmth feels good. The tannins have an astringent effect and stop the bleeding, along with the pressure applied. It's really effective! I used it on all my wisdom teeth extractions.
