Good evening, night owl hobbit checking in. All is well, I see, a nice eclectic discussion of "stupid aliens invade earth" science fiction. I'd add John Ringo's series, starting with A Hymn Before Battle to that - I love the books, though it's not finished yet. The fight scenes are cool and there's power armor that comes right out of Heinlein...
