Talking to your wife now... Not even Aragorn? I mean, I agree that Legolas is beautiful... but he does not exactly have the same maleness that Aragorn has... hehehe
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
none of them from LOTR:FOTR, alas. Not even Sir Ian (ducks).
To: HairOfTheDog
Hehehe - thanks for that little bit in defense of Aragorn... on that note, I think I'll turn in.

Pictures for your wife's consideration:

To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
I am concerned LCS... hehehe
To: JenB
Goodnight Jen! Chat with you tomorrow!
To: HairOfTheDog
OK, I'm relaying her opinions now... she didn't like Aragorn because he was dirty all the time. Legolas was most appealing, not because of his looks, but because of his competence with the bow. She found Elrond interesting, during the battle in the prologue. She liked his intensity during the battle scenes.
Here's a short list of what she's mentioned as her favorites... The Rock swordfighting in The Scorpion King; Michael Clark Duncan doing his bikini dance in Armageddon; Pierce Brosnan in *anything*, but most especially in The Thomas Crown Affair ("he burned up the screen in that one") and his first James Bond picture (she *loves* the scene where Bond is under fire, taking cover behind a girder while assembling a bomb to use as a grenade, barely flinching while bullets ricochet past his head...)
That's only a partial list... she's still hasn't stopped discussing it.

Uh, thanks for the nightlights, but why is Aragorn facing the wrong way in the second, and not in the third at all?

Harumph, "Gone 'til the 17th...." MY AUNT FANNIE! Harumph!
Are the Marines looking for a few good sneaks?
What part of Virginia BTW? Are you at Quantico? I'm in Richmond.
Good evening and Goodnite folks. I've done all the damage I can over at the Crusades.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Not even Sir IanNope. "Too old" was her comment.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
She has courage to admit the attraction to The Rock... I wouldn't have admitted it!
Though I understand it. Humor me on this... Isn't The Rock a lot like Lurtz? (better groomed, but the same sort of animal?)
And Legolas is most appealing with that bow! Pierce Brosnan... hmmm.. OK I guess. What about Mel?
To: JenB
Jen, I am not as discriminating was you... ;~D
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
she didn't like Aragorn because he was dirty all the time. Well, I expect that he will clean up a lot by the end of Return of the King.
To: HairOfTheDog
Isn't The Rock a lot like Lurtz?A most emphatic "no" on that one... apparently the fact that The Rock bathes adds a lot to her opinion of him. Oh, and she likes his athletic grace.
What about Mel?
Oh, yeah, most especially in The Patriot and in Ransom.

Your wife seems to be pretty firm about this hygene thing. I like good hygene too... but it is an easy one to fix with a hose and a scrubber!
To: HairOfTheDog
Your wife seems to be pretty firm about this hygene thing. Yup... one of the things that bugged her about FOTR was the preponderance of dirty fingernails.
If I had to sum it up in a single phrase... she likes cool, competent, clean guys who are good with weapons. Oh, and she likes smart guys too.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
That's funny... One of the "making of the movie" segments talked about how intentional the dirty fingernails were!
They have been out on the trail a long time... I would not trust the film if they looked like they stayed in a hotel last night!
To: ALL
Good night everyone! - I am going to bed... My headache is returning, and I think I just need a good night's sleep! - Talk with you all in the morning!
To: HairOfTheDog
I would not trust the film if they looked like they stayed in a hotel last night!Oh, I agree! But it bugged her (shrug!) What can I say, that's one of her pet peeves.
My headache is returning
Oh, dear... I hope it's not eye strain. (I hope I didn't contribute to it!) Sleep well!
To: HairOfTheDog
"I would not trust the film if they looked like they stayed in a hotel last night!"
You mean like the "Prancing Pony?" :^)
