Much obliged OT. My new boss has been here two months and just hasn't caught on that it's his responsibility to provide second breakfast...two months and not a single donut...How many meals does a dwarf eat in a day? Can they hold a candle to our little hobbit friends?

Well, I don't know that we eat quite as often as the the little fellers...

Oh boy.....time to start lurking in the back alleys and shadows of the internet again...I never did remove that software, I wanted to keep it for just such an occasion... :o

OT, how did you get that picture of the view from my house? Hehehe...Even the wisest cannot tell.
Actually, I searched for "morning" on Google Images.
To: Penny1
Careful out there Ranger hobbit!
Good morning all!
To: HairOfTheDog
Unfortunately, I think I am more like Boromir....trying to steal the precious! :o

Even the wisest cannot tell.Better check the ventilation in your lab, you're starting to quote elves. You're scaring me. ;^)

But I haven't gotten to the toluene step yet! Those Elves...they're everywhere! They're everywhere!

...and you sure seem to be wracked with guilt over it!

Hello! I just spent an hour at the bank, yelling at people to convince them that even though I was not my mother, they should still do what she wanted them to. All to get a check properly deposited!
Anyway, loooonnng and boring and hot day ahead for me. Let's have some fun first!

No, what about them? (Are we talking about multi-user shared hallucinations, or something else?)

No, what about them? (Are we talking about multi-user shared hallucinations, or something else?)Yes I am talking about those. I was wondering if you knew of any good Tolkien based ones. TORn has rated one called Elendor pretty highly. I was thinking of trying one out and wanted to pick your brains first.

No, never tried any. I haven't done much role playing at all, and certainly no MUDs or MUSHs. Let me know if you try it and it's cool, though!

the original rules should be loosened a bit. Section-type format with broader discussion, not so particular about spoilers if it makes sense to tie an event to another later in the story, I was always amused about the idea of 'spoilers'. I mean, most of the folks on this thread have read the trilogy at least once, if not multiple times! How can ANYTHING be a spoiler?

That's what I'd like to know!
Anyone who has not finished reading LotR, raise your hand, ok?

I am amused by the idea of spoilers too with this group... but there actually were some who started with us that had only seen the film and were reading the book for the first time... But they have to be done by now! hehehe
Posting the Lothlorien section in moments... been working on it. Come play with me a bit over there when I post it OK?

No, never tried any. I haven't done much role playing at all, and certainly no MUDs or MUSHs.Ive tried MUDs before, they typically have you hack and slash through everything, hardly any role-playing at all. From what I understand MuSHs are more heavily into the role-playing aspect.
Let me know if you try it and it's cool, though!
I will. ;^)

That's what I understand as well. What do you want to role play? Think they'd let me be an Elf?

I will post it sometime tonight, or you could probably do a Google search on "Elendor". They have a pretty informative website. From what I read they will let you play human, elf, dwarf, hobbit, and orc. I think that's it. The timeframe for the game is in and around the War of the Ring.
