I am posting the new hole tomorrow, for the final countdown! we can move in, get settled, and then head out to see the movie and whatever pace we are comfortable with!

Weather in the Hobbit Hole is CAVU... Clear And Visibility Unlimited! I had often thought of naming my boarding stables Cavu Stables, when it happens. But now, I think I am more moved to name my farm something Tolkien.

At least you have religious reasons. My sibs just want to wait for the crowds to die down - after the kids go back to school. That seems ages away and who minds waiting in line with a few hundred giggling teens?

I would be spinning my wheels

I'm sort of spinning my wheels... doing a little work, then a little FReeping, then back to work...

The last major part of this project is getting the last load of de-installed PCs ready to ship out. They go out tomorrow morning... once they are gone, I will just be sitting around waiting to see if any trouble develops on any of the new PCs. Basically, fireman duty! Until then, though, I do have some real work to do...

I just don't want to! :)

How about the ceiling? I like that "CAVU," hadn't heard it before. 'Course I'm scared of planes.

Perhaps all of you who are waiting to see the movie later can stay here when we move to the new hole tomorrow.

That's a good idea... perhaps we can all pledge to keep the old Hole "spoiler free" until everyone has had a chance to see the movie?

The ceiling would the the "Clear" part.

Anything other than CAVU conditions would be reported as ~3000 & 3 (Ceiling 3,000 feet, visibility 3 miles)

Good morning everyone!

I just caught up on the posts. Man, you all were busy this weekend. I really enjoyed chatting with Hair and OT on Friday night, it was a real disappointment to have to log off due to Glen's grumbling over my clacking of computer keys. :(

ItsOurTimeNow - When I was pregnant with Alyson, my HCG levels were so low that the only way they discovered a had a viable pregnancy was to do an internal ultrasound. I was 7 weeks along at the time. My levels did not reach "normal" until I was at the end of my first trimester!!! So, don't worry too much and most importantly, do not let Mrs. Hamfist fret at all!!

Hair - I'm glad the storm was not as bad as it could have been! *whew!* And as for the senior canine citizens in your household, when they finally do cross the Rainbow Bridge, you can definitely take comfort in the fact that you gave them a better life than most pooches outside of Beverly Hills! *grin*

Corin - glad to hear things went OK. Fill us in on the details later after the "bored" meeting!

2J - are you back yet? Check in to let us know you are fine!

g'nad - LOL @ free on Tuesday night! I am taking tomorrow and Wednesday off. My mom agreed to watch the kiddies on Tuesday night so Glen and I can catch the sneaky-peeky preview. Then, on Wednesday, it will be the same as when I go tot work with the exception that I will be leaving a bit later in the morning!

I will try to post my review on Tuesday night, but please keep in mind that it will be 2 in the morning and the late hour combined with my post-TTT viewing giddiness may make for some confusing reading! :)

In other news, once again, my home computer has been infected with a virus. Glen, bless his heart, would trust an attachment from the devil himself. Needless to say, the JS.Exception.Exploit virus is alive and kicking at home. My dad is working on removing it today. I have not had a chance to install ZoneAlarm yet since everytime I get online, it is simply to discover yet another special surprise from Glen's last surfing expedition. And I do know what he's looking at when he gets them. Grrrrr.....

OK, I posted all responses to avoid another funkle! :)

On to breakfast: it's chilly here in Miami today, so a hearty meal is in order.

Pancakes with maple syrup:
Belgian waffles:
Bacon, sausage, toast and eggs:
Of course, hot fresh coffee:
and orange juice:

ENJOY!!

It gets real complicated when the ceiling is broken or scattered, or there are multiple layers to the ceiling. common here would be a report that said C700SCT, 1000BKN, 4000 OVC & V25.

Meaning there are three different cloud levels, 700 scattered (1-50% coverage), 1000 broken (60-90%covered) 4000 Overcast (90+% covered). Heh.... How much did you want to know? ;~D

Jeepers... I hope you get your virus killed soon!

I used Zone Alarm in the past and it is good, but would also recommend Trend's PC-Cillan. It updates itself when there is new stuff going around, and usually very fast. Keep that up to date and you should usually be safe, unless of course, you are the first person on earth to be sent a new virus!

Thanks for your words about the old dogs. I think I can boost Zulu along with the special rations and red cell. She is feeling better already. Because she has long curly hair, and because I see her every day, it was apparently easy to continue on with standard fare and not notice she is wasting away until I patted her bony behind! She is changing, and I was surprised when I finally noticed. I hope she puts weight on, if she doesn't, we will see the vet.

"perhaps we can all pledge to keep the old Hole "spoiler free" until everyone has had a chance to see the movie?" No no! Spoil me! If I can't see the movie till late, at least I can see it vicariously through other HHers. In the real world, I have a degree of patience (really!) but hearing the early reviews just extends the pleasure.

Oh, I don't know.

How about for typical South Florida skies: clear skies with scattered cumulus clouds at c.2500 ft. and with scattered cumulonimbus over the Everglades, I don't know exactly how low they are, but pretty low, and with tops to 37,000'.

But there is plenty of room to maneuver an airplane around the cumulonimbus and the cumulus are no problem, except for a few bumps.

So does this mean we can discuss the weather even more than we already do?

I hope my dad is able to get it cleared out for me! Is the PC-Cillan freeware?

Also, regarding Zulu. Have you tried giving her some Nutrical? It's a brown paste that comes in a tube. It's very sweet and promotes appetite, as well as, contains some valuable nutrients in a high calorie form.

I used it all the time when I fostered baby kittens and it really helped put on the pounds and made them hungry as can be. When I weaned them, I would mix a bit into the soft food to get them to eat it, being that they were familiar with the taste and smell of the Nutrical already. After their eating habits became satisfying, I would stop giving the Nutrical and that was that.

They should carry it at the feed store. If not, your vet definitely has it.

I will look into the Nutrical, if need be! The big glob of soft food on top of her kibble has stimulated her appetite, and the Red Cell product tastes good too (looks like blood) and has all kinds of good stuff in it. It might be the same kind of stuff.

k9redcell.jpg Canine Red Cell
Liquid Vitamin-Iron-Mineral Supplement formulated to provide a reliable source of blood building ingredients and appetite stimulants for show and hunting dogs, racing Greyhonds and old debilitated dogs. 1 tsp. per 10 lbs. body weight. Kennel feeding: 4 oz. to 10 lbs. food.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PC-Cillan has a free trial period, but you do have to buy it after . I guess it was $50.
No no! Spoil me!
Well, my thought was that we could post all the stuff about TTT in the "new" New Hole, and keep the "old" New Hole spoiler-free.
Did that make sense? :) Anyway, I'm off to lunch!
Even if you don't have PC-cillan, Trend's website has excellent instructions for removing the known viruses...
The one you have has a lot of variants, Classified as a hoax virus in that they don't tend to be very harmful in the long run. They seem to change your IE startup page and call it good.... a couple of them do more.
There are instructions for removing each of them though:
Trend Micro - Security Info - Virus Encyclopedia - Search Results - JS.Exception.Exploit
If he doesn't already know about that!
Certainly! - I like to talk about weather. I hope in my life to one day see a tornado, and stand in a hurricane. I have gone to the ocean to watch storms and chased thunderstorms here, but it ain't the same!
Woo Hoo! Those are GREAT trailers! Sure has gotten me excited about seeing it this week!! I've only seen one TTT trailer on TV, because I just don't watch that much, especially in the evenings. It has been played on the "Taken" miniseries several times, my son told me.
