Really, though...Sean Bean did a good job in that role, didn't he? I still cry every time I watch him die.So did my wife, and she didn't even like Boromir. She SAYS it was Aragorn's lines that put her over the edge, but I think she secretly liked Boromir. Probably like most of the Boromir bashers ;^)

"Any nine Democrats can be the Nazgul."
Come to think of it, that's where Trent Lott can go too, since he no longer has a will of his own.

Or Bill Clinton... come to the "me" side.

Now that's the real question... someone who corrupts everyone around him, who sucks away their life and leaves them a shadow of their former selves... someone who weilds ultimate power - wait, I know! The IRS!

Carvile has got to be the orc (regular type). I think Dashole or Gephart would be best as Sauruman, the soft spoken totally evil personna. McCain acts like Denethor, proud, arrogant and totally wrong in the end. Barbara Bush as Galadriel. Does that make Bush the elder Celeborn.
As an aside, are those wild men posted two or three hundred back from the battle of Helms Deep? If so that would make them the Dunlanders that sided with Sauruman.

That remark is funny (applause).

(the picture is as close as I could get)OOOooo! Cool pic of Boromir! My daughter informs me I'm a member of the BOMB Squad (Boromir's Obsession Mad Babes; from ringbearer.org) I AM a big fan of Sean Bean; just saw "Don't Say a Word" last weekend. It was REALLY good!
One of my favorite parts of the FOTR soundtrack is the part I call "the redemption of Boromir", from 'Amon Hen'.
An elven language question for anyone on the thread. I know "Amon" is hill, and "Anon, or Nar" is sun, but what would the adjective 'sunny' be in the elven tongue? We're fixing to do a remodel on our house and we want to name it "Sunny Hill", but would love to do a nice sign using the elven language.

I'm not sure but I thought they were the Wild-Men that Aragorn recruited in RotK. Could be completely wrong, though.

That's cause a ring doesn't have to learn any lines.
To: SuziQ
I'm not sure that there's enough known about Elvish to give you an adjective; I'll look though, but "Amon Nar" has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

It is a race to the precious?

I think so!

Who has it?
