I think most Americans are not the type to cower, but political correctness is distorting our perspective pretty badly. 'Course people would naturally prefer to wish we didn't have a problem.

But you are right, it will surely get much worse, perhaps to the point of disaster, if we delay to long in solving it. My impression is that "W" has figured this out, but maybe not too many others in congress.

I'm doning a roast turkey with 2 kinds of oyster dressing (biscuit and cornbread), cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, collards (bet they don't bring bean casserole this year LOL!) lime jello salad, pumpkin pie, and coconut cake. Last year LB and SIL brought ham, green bean casserole, bread sweet potatoes...

I have to at least have the cornbread, biscuits, and cake layers made as well as the jello thing. I had a volunteer for the pie last weekend but I'm not holding my breath.
