You mean all this time I could have had a horse to ride? Hehehe.
I take my coconut out to the driveway and use the concrete (with a hammer, of course).
Bar? there's a bar at the NaNoWriMo site? I just log in, update, and log off.

I just log in, update, and log off.If, after updating your word count, you click on "View Profile" (or something close to that), it has a little status meter showing how far along you are. Of course, anyone with any knowledge of math could figure out how far along they were anyway, but seeing it in chart form is kinda fun (at least now that it's more than a blue speck at one end...)

So do you update your word count everyday? I've only done it once and may update it again tomorrow or sometime next week.

Bar? there's a bar at the NaNoWriMo site?I don't know about that, but I do know there's a bar in downtown Tulsa and they have a Traditional Irish Session that started about 30 minutes ago and it'll go on till about midnight. Steve won't take me. Wish you were here, we'd all pile in my aerostar and go!

So do you update your word count everyday?Well...I didn't update it at all for the first week, at least. Then there have been some days where I've done it obsessively (I'm ashamed to say...) about every twenty minutes, just to see that number go higher and higher. Sad, isn't it?
Speaking of which, in spite of my hanging around at the Hobbit Hole in order to procrastinate, I still have managed to write over 2100 today! Woo-hoo! I'm five hundred words towards being caught up...or 450 or so, maybe. Well...anyway, I'm more caught up than I have been.

To: Overtaxed
Yep. I am sure I don't have the nerve. Yet.
To: RosieCotton
I've got 2999 words for today and I'm hoping to get in at least 250 to 300 more.

I wish I could go with you, too! I really wish we had more Irish music in this area. There's quite a bit of old time and bluegrass, but no Irish, not close by. Next summer I may look into whether the Irish pub in Montpelier (or Montpeculiar as my family prefers to call it...) has sessions. It's about an hour away on a very twisty US Route type road - no interstate to there from here. So not something I want to do in the winter. (For example...there's freezing rain tonight, and lots of it - UGH!)

Guess I can stop patting myself on the back, then? ;-)

There's an Irish Pub in Raleigh that has some Irish music. They have bluegrass and probably other stuff too.
BTW, I found out that Luansa (sp?) is going to be in Raleigh this February. Now if only you and 2JM can come down. :)
To: RosieCotton
Of course I started this morning and spent way too much time paying attention to the TV. And most of it's crap anyway. :)
To: Overtaxed
I've been listening to Lunasa all afternoon, while cleaning the house. It's one of my most favorite disks! I especially like "Al Paistin Fionn"...my "Fair Haired Child". :-)

The Fair Haired Youth - An Paistin Fionn
Love of my heart my fair haired youth
his heart and joyousness laughing with me
His white breast is as the flowers of the apple
and his neck is like that of a Swan
Curfa:
You are my dear, my dear, my dear
you are my dear and my dearest one
You are my dear and my enduring companion

. It's one of my most favorite disks! It's one of my favorites too. Only I listen to CD's mostly during the commute so I don't really link the names with the tunes very well.
To: My back yard
Yowsers! In order to spend time with YOU during the Thanksgiving holiday, it sounds as thought your family gonna have to watch a LOT of FoTR! LOL!
To: Overtaxed
I got the music to "Inion Ni Scannlain. I'll send it to you when I can...I'm on the Imac and it's not easy to copy and paste things with it.
To: RosieCotton
You too, Rosie...see 42059.
I better get off line...I still want to get the kitchen mopped and the boys need to get bathed and into bed. Maybe see you all later.
