they're called trailers OT... I thought they were pretty common down yonder... ;o) What do you call the short ones that have the tent like deals that pop up? And there are a bunch of regular trailer types and some motor home like what you see at the races.

Morning all! Yawn...
We're still here. Busy afternoon yesterday. Almost forgot I was the one taking Jr. to get his cast off.
We started the second DVD last night. Jr. watched it all, but my wife got home around 10:30ish and we spent a good while talking. Her dad is still hanging on. It's awful to say this, but we're kind of at the "we don't want to lose you" vs. "what are you still doing here" point. I can't imagine it going another day, but we've been saying that since the weekend. Thanks for the continued prayers.
So, I still haven't really seen the second disk all the way through...I will, I will.
Busy here at work today. I shouldn't even be here now, but wanted to check in.
Look, I have a Theme Song on the religion threads!

I was inferring that you were mistakin' trailer parks (which are everywhere in NC, with campers... feeble attempt by a weary mind at a joke... sorry...
To: g'nad
That's okay... I still love ya!

Did you post this on the religious wars threads?

I don't hang out around the trailer park set much. Anyway, those sort of homes are more commonly referred to as "mobile homes"...at least nowadays. I wouldn't want to stay in one myself. A hurricane or tornado would scatter you across a 4 county area.

I cheer for the escapees too on those wildlife shows... unless they are highlighting the hungry cubs that the lion is hunting for! Then I don't know who to cheer for! They are all noble. The hunter and the prey. It is a serious game for them, this survival thing.
Our life is safely sheilded from daily drama because we can bring home our food in nice tidy packages. Real life is so much more intense than we know. Human hunters try to re-capture it, but even for them it is just a game in comparison, because the stakes are not as high for the hunter as for the prey. But it is a ritual. A re-connection with the rough, cruel hard world. And it carries more pride and respect than the lining up of 1000 obedient cattle at a slaughterhouse. Life is intense!

Were you really shocked? ;~D I can giggle at bad things!
I had seen it before, but I had forgotten how bad it was! That is why I went back and posted the warning after I saw it!
To: carton253
Did you post this on the religious wars threads? Actually Woody found it for me. I just told doc that we knew they were losing when they (he) brought out the "Ward is a liar," argument...
To: g'nad
Sure enuff groovin now, y'all, look at me! LOL!
I like that dancin Spidey, g'nad!! So how much of the DVD have you watched, so far?
To: carton253
I understand the need to hunt them because they have no natural enemies, and I do support even raising the "hunter limit", but still, I think they are beautiful animals. Uh, have you seen the new 'Midgewater Marsh' scene?

Good morning everyone! I'm going to post everything at once so I don't funkle. :)
Overtaxed - Sorry I'm late with breakfast, but Sam Cree was right. I was at Farmer Maggot's this morning and he was driving an extra hard bargain on the mushrooms! The old skinflint - he knows I'll spend whatever it takes and thinks he can take advantage. Not so! I threatened to start spreading rumors about nasty toadstools being mixed in with his mushrooms and he relented quick enough. LOL!
Breakfast is biscuits with sausage gravy, fried eggs and grits, bacon and sausage patties. Lots of waffles for the Hole dwellers as well! Have plenty of mushrooms too, of course! Lots of coffee and juice available too! ENJOY!
carton253 - Great review! The points you made were right on the money. I find that the characters have much more depth and thus, the scenes we are used to seeing seem different with that added emotional twist.
Bear_in_RoseBear - Thanks for the link! I'll check it out later.
All - I was so disgusted with the National Geographic DVD that came with the set. They had the audacity to compare some treehugger with Frodo!!! As a matter of fact, they compared LoTR to everything EXCEPT Christianity. Ugh! Save yourselves the frustration and don't bother watching it.
To: RMDupree; g'nad
I remember seeing it on TV- but I haven't watched it again yet.
I am not so hard on the tree huggers... We need them in the world too, to balance the tree haters! In the end, we achieve balance.
G'NAD! - The horses are acting all freaky about something in my woods! I am fairly sure there must be a deer there. The instincts in domesticated horses are so screwed up, they don't even stop grazing when the coyotes are around... They think they are just dogs. No... My horses fear deer! I think my resident is just a doe... but she had a fawn this year, so there must be a boy not TOO far away ;~D
To: SuziQ
Yep... Doesn't bother me in the least. I mean... I don't want anything dead, but the poor hobbits have to eat, and they aren't very good at catching fishses and orcses like Smeagol is!
To: HairOfTheDog
I can't get that easter egg thing to work. I go to 48 on the second disk, get the credits running in the scene page (not really running, just running in the background of the scene selection page) and can't get it to do anything from there. Could it be my player won't do it?
To: HairOfTheDog
Don't get me wrong, Hair. I fully support environmental balance and care for our natural treasures, but they invested a good 15+ minutes of a one hour program on this guy. They made comparisons to the Anglo-Saxons and both World Wars as well. They were good at pointing out the JRRT did not like analogies and he mentioned how JRRT had mentioned it in the prologue of LoTR.
What gets me is that I started to feel like I was in an informercial for Greenpeace instead of a behind-the-movie story. I hate the in your face agenda in what should be an overview of JRRT's work.
To: RMDupree
Just so you know... when I watched the National Geographic episode on FOTR, I thought I was watching a hard-sell infomercial about Greenpeace also.
