BTW, I didn't get my LOTR SE DVD today but I did get the holiday catalog from The Noble Collection. That Ring that's selling for $129 is sterling silver plated with gold and comes with a 20 inch chain. The chain looks silver (eww mixing silver and gold accents!) but it doesn't say if it's sterling or not.

Hehe, no, I'm publishing mine day-by-day. Mine is about a normal guy who starts hopping from universe to universe like crazy, getting into stranger and stranger situations daily. It's not really very good writing, but I like the plot and characters.
I've given up for today. I'm going to post today's piece in a minute. If you - or anyone here - cares to look at it, the first part is here. After that it goes by days.

Okay. Talk to ya later. I just learned the theme from Gilligan's Island by ear. It's time to fix dinner now.

Yard work was the order of the afternoon here in MA as well. The kids raked the majority of the leaves, then I mowed the lawn fairly short and picked up the rest of the leaves at the same time. I had to dump the grass catcher about 6 times! I'm going out in a bit to get some granulated lime and Winterizer fertilizer to put on the lawn early tomorrow afternoon. It is supposed to rain tomorrow night into Monday, so it will soak that stuff in real well! Then I'm DONE for this year, in the yard at least.
I am NOT looking forward to the inside work I have to do. I have to DE-JUNK big time before we can start on the remodeling!

I haven't really noticed any change in the condensation...but I haven't really been paying all that much attention! I'll pay closer attention and see.
I'm on my old 14.4 modem computer out in the shop. It is soooo slow!!
I found out what happened to the pumpkins. When Steve got home he told me that he found them smashed out in the street in front of our house Wednesday. He didn't want to say anything about it because he was upset and he knew it would upset me. It's unnerving that someone would walk right up to our front door and steal something. We even have our yard lit up with a lightpost. I told Steve I want to get a video camera that comes on when anyone approaches the house. I don't know what I could do with any info, but I feel pretty anxious about having people in my yard at night.

Yep. Have to keep the old fingers limber. Perhaps if I start throwing foam balls at the cat everytime she walks out on a whistle session it'll make me a better musician!

I still have your posting from yesterday to check back on, too! As soon as I'm caught up (or close to it) on my own, I'll go back and catch up.
I wrote about four hundred words yesterday, so I'm paying for it. I've written (or completed, anyway) one more chapter, which comes to about 1200, but I'm still behind, and still not sure what to do about the writing thing. However, I'm going to write up to the exact moment where I think I'll get stuck and see if I can't work it out by the time I get there. It's the hardest character to write, though.
To: Snake65
So what are the stories about (don't tell if you think it'll jinx you)? I wasn't included in your ping list, but what the hey...I'll tell you anyway! (Anything to stall on tackling my story again!)
Mine is a completely lame and overused plot! My four main characters each have a mysterious black stone which. They also have no clue what's going on and what these stones really are. When assembled together, the stones open a time portal. And there are people out there who want control of the stones and will do almost anything to get their hands on them. So...pretty predictable, but I'm hoping the characters at least will be unique enough to keep things interesting!

(And considering I'm now at the point where I can't write a coherant post...you can guess how the story is going!)
But what I have so far is here, if you want to see it. Crappy writing at its finest! (Er...does that make sense?)

You would not believe the work I've done!Fantastic! Sounds a lot like my day. I blew out the gutters. Blew out the garage. Raked the entire yard, bagged all the leaves and put them on our perennial garden to protect/insulate from the coming freezeup. Got the snowblower running and ready for winter. Let it Snow! I'm ready! Tonight we're going to have a fire in the fireplace and maybe play a board game. I'm batching it because Susan is in Las Vegas at a music teacher's convention. Lasagna in the microwave is sure smelling good.
Here's to hard work and the glow it puts on the inside!
I didn't know you could make snowmen in Tulsa. Was that a freak snowstorm you had, or do you always get snow? Sorry about your pumpkins. I know that feeling of not wanting to tell the kids something that will disappoint them. It's hard. I have not practiced for a couple weeks, now. Got to get inspired again.

No, it snows here pretty regularly, at least 3-4 times a year, and at least once or twice where it's pretty deep! If I were at my other computer, I would share some pictures of the boys and I in the snow.
Yes, my back aches and I'm tired, but I feel good about the work and Steve was absolutely stunned. I'm currently cleaning out the shop spiffing it up for the winter and for the cub scouts that are going to meet here Monday.

I have leaves too, but it is too early to rake them because they haven't all fallen yet. I usually just wait till a dry day and munch them with the mower.
It is raining and grey. I have done the required amount of tidying. no need to make everything perfect, my friend isn't coming I guess, she hasn't called.
Ohh! - I forgot to check the mailbox for my leaf clasp! BRB!
To: HairOfTheDog
Did you get it????
To: 2Jedismom; HairOfTheDog
Yeah Hair, did you get what's coming to you? :)
To: 2Jedismom; Overtaxed
Yeah - I got it! - I can't get the flippin' box open I am so excited! (can't find the scissors!)
