Heh!.... I didn't see Harry Potter.... Do they look alike?

No editing yet!Hehe, as soon as I posted, I knew I should have put an "eventually" somewhere in my post.
As in, Rose will be doing the editing for me, eventually!

And now, for the moment you've been waiting for, no doubt, all day! Thanks, Jen! I'm still catching up (both on reading your story and on writing mine!), but I'm enjoying it so far.
Clare finally went to bed. Took me forever to finish her introduction and I'm kinda sick of her. Now I have to write Justin, which should be a lot more fun. He's a studio musician in Nashville and doesn't have a death in his past. Woo-hoo! I shouldn't have had two characters with tragic histories, but really one was more bittersweet than tragic so I thought I could get away with it. My sister tells me it's stupid, though. Oh well...too late!
I am so behind here at the Hole! It's hard to keep up when I'm not at a computer much of the day. I applied for the job I told some of you about, and I'm half hoping I get offered it and half hoping they never contact me. I think I'd enjoy the job, but there is a definite beaurocracy there, which bugs me. For example, I submitted my letter of application and all that in the personnel office, and they told me they would bring it before the "search committee", which immediately sets sirens blaring in my mind. I detest committees! I shouldn't be so opinionated, I guess...

Well, best of luck on both the writing and the real life stuff. I will be glad to read more as soon as you post it!
Incidentally, if anyone has any comments about my story I'd love to hear them.

OK!
Here is the next part of my story.
Up to 5100 words now, which is about 1500 behind schedule, if I remember right. I am most impressed with Jen's writing speed! Hopefully tomorrow I can catch up. The next character should be more fun than the first two to write. I like him. Now, anyway. ;-) I may be sick of him by the end of tomorrow!

Skimming through your part 4 now. I'm loving the conversation between Gil and Starren...mixing programming concepts with magic spells is not something that has every occured to me...
To: JenB
Incidentally, if anyone has any comments about my story I'd love to hear them.I just read part 4, I'm enjoying it a lot! I have a lot of questions, but I'll wait, as anything I'd ask at this point would probably be answered in the next installment.
You do realize that you're over 1/5 of the way to the grand total? Do you think your story will go over 50k words?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Quite possibly! I often start burning out in the last quarter of a story, though.
Oh, and I'm not too sure I will answer all the questions. I may just send them along merrily to the next universe.

I like it, Rosie! You're only a little behind, you'll be on target in no time at all!

I'm getting ready for bed... busy day tomorrow, I have to arrange for my independent study next semester, and it's Election Day. My first election, actually; I wish it was interesting or that the Republican had a snowball's chance of winning, but hey, I'm a civic-minded person...

Good work Jen. Keep it up. You're like our pace car...
Sub-plot, I need a sub-plot...
To: JenB
Good night, Jen! I'm finally caught up on your story. Can't wait to see how all these people link up between universes!
To: JenB
Have fun voting tomorrow anyway. No Rebublican can win there? - What about the sherrif? I am in a pretty liberal area, and yet our long time sherrif is a republican!
To: RosieCotton
Yes, well, me too :-) Unfortunately I must force myself to abandon the rather fascinating Empress and her people... she's really grown on me, she has a whole history worked out that you wouldn't believe, but most of it won't come through. Still, I'm glad I had this section. I got out some important information and established one of my "themes" - that my characters are mostly just 'dropping in' on people who have their own concerns and problems. They aren't there to be the saviors, they're just people who get caught in the middle

Here is the next part of my story.OK, I'm caught up on your story, and I'm liking it! Both characters are tragic in different ways, and the mystery of the stones is growing. And Toby is cute!
I only have one question... did I miss part 3, or did you? ;)
To: HairOfTheDog
I mean the main race - Governor. I get to vote for Congress, Melissa Hart's our Rep and she's conservative Republican, so that's good at least. But we're going to be stuck with a tax-raising liberal @$#* for four years, at least...
